30 tonnes of emergency relief to flood-hit Sudanese states

  Under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the aid was sent to support families affected in the floods. The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation also sent Sudan 30 tons of aid — which included 15 tons of essential food and medical supplies — to the states of River Nile, Gezira, White Nile, West Kordofan, South Darfur, and Kassala. The package will provide the necessary supplies to people struggling to cope with the horrific impact of the floods, the foundation said in a statement. It includes first-aid kits and food supplies, such as rice, flour, sugar, powdered milk, tea, and lentils, the statement added.

UAE President orders urgent relief aid to Pakistan

  UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the provision of urgent relief aid to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which is witnessing torrential rains and floods that have resulted in deaths, injuries and displacements. The UAE relief teams will also provide all kinds of humanitarian support to Pakistani cadres and institutions concerned with efforts to secure the safety of the affected and their food, medical and logistical needs.

    UAE has begun operating an air bridge to Khartoum to transport large quantities of relief aid and shelter materials for those affected by the torrential rains and floods in Sudan. This was done under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the supervision of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan The relief supplies include around 10,000 tents, 28,000 food and medical aid parcels, 120 tonnes of various shelter materials, as well as urgent relief materials, which will help improve the living conditions of the affected population, and support the efforts of Sudanese and other relevant entities in containing the crisis.

  UAE is operating an air bridge to transport large quantities of aid to help those affected by torrential rains and floods in Sudan. The Red Crescent Authority is supervising the transfer of the relief supplies to Khartoum, which will be given to more than 140,000 affected people in several provinces. The aid includes about 10,000 tents, 28,000 food and health aid parcels, 120 tonnes of shelter materials and other urgent relief supplies. The supplies have been received by a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent, which is currently in Sudan to provide support and assistance and supervise the relief programme that has been going on for several days.

UAE president’s visit to Athens

  Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the visiting president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a further reflection of what Athens says is the mutual interest of both countries to deepen bilateral relations and their strategic character in all areas of common interest. UAE President orders providing urgent aid to flood victims in Sudan

  In Sudan Flood, there have been 89 fatalities and approximately 50,000 dwellings have been damaged In the agricultural region of al-Managil, which is located approximately 150 kilometers (90 miles) south of the capital city of Khartoum and is lined with overflowing irrigation ditches, an official with the Sudanese Red Crescent stated that more than 100 villages had been cut off and 10,000 homes had been damaged or collapsed. At this point, there were at least 3,000 individuals seeking refuge in makeshift camps.  In this, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued an order that AED 25 million worth of urgent humanitarian aid be provided to those affected and displaced in Sudan as a result of torrential rains and floods. President attends fraternal consultative ‘Al Alamein Meeting’ Arab summit in Egypt

  P resident His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended today the fraternal consultative ‘Al Alamein Meeting’ which was called by Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi  During the meeting, held in Al Alamein City, Mersah Matruh Governorate, the leaders discussed fraternal relations, various aspects of cooperation, and joint work, especially in the economic and development partnerships and ways to enhance them. In this regard, the leaders renewed their support for any effort and endeavour aimed at enhancing peace, stability and joint cooperation at various levels, based on trust, mutual respect and common interests to achieve the aspirations of the people of the region for progress, prosperity and development. They also discussed several issues and took stock of the latest regional and international developments. The leaders emphasised their keenness on continuous fraternal consultations which would boost stability and prosperity in the region.
