With just a few hours left until the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Qatar, football fans in Dubai can look forward to watching the matches at the fan zones that have opened up around the city. In Expo City Dubai, giant screens were installed in Jubilee Park and Al Wasl Dome. A wide variety of food and drinks will be on offer, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the tournament. The Fan City in Jubilee Park opens just in time for kick-off on Sunday, November 20th, with a seating capacity of 10,000. The venue will feature a hookah lounge, a drinks shop and giant TV screens, according to organizers.

“Fan City at Jubilee Park kicks off on Sunday with the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador and will continue throughout the tournament,” Dalya Kattan, creative director of Expo City Dubai, told The National. “From the knockout phase [3. December], fans can participate in the VIP guest experience at Al Wasl Plaza. The fan zone in Jubilee Park is open Monday to Friday from 5pm to 1:30am and on weekends from 12pm to 1:30am.
