Iraq gas explosion kills four

Four people were killed and 33 injured in a gas explosion in the northern Iraqi city of Duhok. A college student and a senior police officer were among the victims of Monday night's blast at a bakery above a college dorm, Gov. Ali Tatar said. local media. The police officer and another emergency responder died  trying to rescue the students inside the building. Several people are in  critical condition and the death toll is expected to rise,  authorities said. It comes just days after 15, people were killed. in the explosion of a petrol tank  in the city of Sulaymaniyah.

Both cities are in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region of Iraq.
