Mangrove Alliance

The launch of the Mangrove Alliance for Climate (MAC) Led by the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, the initiative aims to expand and accelerate the conservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems for the benefit of communities around the world. The announcement was made at the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) held in Egypt from November 6–18. Five other countries: India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Japan and Spain have joined the alliance.
